For several years, the Regional Union des Caisses d'Assurance Maladie (URCAM Center) supports several actions to prevent smoking in schools and the workplace. Particular attention was paid to specific smoking women.

In this context, the CODES, mutuality and French Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie du Loiret have joined forces to organize a training day on the theme "Women and Tobacco".

It consists of two parts (details in the program below to download):

- On the morning training "Pregnant women and smoking cessation" (performed by midwives CHR Orleans and CHRU Tours)
- Afternoon: Briefing on "Women and Tobacco" (moderated by the charge of the project CODES)

This training is for professionals in the field medical and social services to women, midwives, dieticians, family workers, nurses, nurses, ancillary ...

Cost: training funded by health insurance. Only travel and meals are borne by the participants.

As part of actions "tobacco and the workplace - Area Center" funded by the INPES, the CODES of Loiret offers, like its counterparts in other departments of the region, occupational health professionals an assignment balance and Trade undertaken since 2004.

This session both for occupational health professionals who have already received training in 2004-2005 and who wish to deepen their knowledge that those who have never enrolled in the project approach and would like more information or to place preventive actions.

This day is co-hosted by two doctors, one tabacologue, another psychiatrist, they have both contributed to the action and proceed on the one hand, at a depth of knowledge in tobacco, on the other hand, the presentation of the methodology used to support the arrest acting on behaviors, motivations and moderators of stress.

A nurse service health of one of 5 companies of the partners will demonstrate its experience and experience in business.

The CODES, however, will be in supervision and provide resources and opportunities to carry out health (tobacco, diet, stress, ...).

CODES of the Loiret an update for you on key measures.

Established to prevent the cohabitation of smokers and non-smokers, the new decree is the first action against passive smoking. It also reinforces the prohibition on smoking in all places frequented by young people (schools, training centers, dormitories ...), health facilities and public transport.

The decree allows additional time to bars, hotels, restaurants and discotheques until 1 January 2008.

It also gives the opportunity to develop specific locations available to smokers, but these "smoking rooms" are subject to a specification so draconian that it discourages done so to consider this type of installation.

The decree involves the smoking ban, the requirement to establish signs for places non-smokers, but also for "smoking".

It also establishes a scale of penalties for individuals and employers in the event of non compliance with the prohibition of smoking but also for failure to signal and failure to meet the standards for smoking.

INPE and the Alliance against tobacco have chosen to pursue in partnership, in a tone shifted and voluntarily cynical, a false campaign of conquest of a clientele: young new smokers. The title of the conference is deliberately provocative to talk about aid to smoking cessation. This is Dr. Jean-François Madinier, tabacologue Service (CHR chest of Orleans) who has chosen.

It should be explained on Wednesday 5 April 2006 at 20h 30 at the Museum of Natural Sciences, accompanied by Stephanie Berducat m Adame, Project (CODES of Loiret), which will provide lighting in health education. Mr Jacques Huguenin role will be to moderate the debate and exchanges with other people.

The appointment of health, what is it?
Organized by the city of Orleans and its partners, they approached the first Wednesday of each month a major theme of health. The conferences, free, are conducted by health professionals for the general public.

In the Central region, each department develops a strategy to fight against smoking. This approach does not always take into account women and their specific response to tobacco (more sensitive to this factor, risks related to the combination pill and tobacco, weight ...).

The regional group "Women and Tobacco", initiated by the Regional Union des Caisses d'Assurance Maladie Center, has put forward a lack of information tools for women. To answer this specific issue a booklet "Women and Tobacco" was created for the region to reverse this trend and take better account of the harmful effects of smoking women. It meets the principles of the Charter of the Regional Outline Health Education Center developed region.
This booklet aims to inform on specific hazards of tobacco use among women, promote smoking cessation, to inform on the scene aid resources to smoking cessation.

Professionals in the central region who wish to use this tool (in business school, in maternity, PMI, surgeries ...) may withdraw Committees in all departmental health education in the region Center (address below against)
