A dietician, a podiatrist, nurses and doctors, networks and associations for diabetes will welcome throughout the day around tasting recipes specially concocted for them.

SOPHIA The device designed by the Health Insurance to inform them and enable them to limit the impact of diabetes on their daily lives will be presented.

Information and screening, acrobats and sports, garden fruits and vegetables, nutrition counseling, are on the agenda of the caravan of diabetes.

The caravan of diabetes is a cycling composed of 50 cyclists motivated diabetics who have donated to challenge linking Paris to Lyon in 4 stages between 9 and 12 May 2006.

The caravan will stop in Orleans on May 9 for the first stage of the hike. Events will be held throughout the day from 11am to 19h on the place of the republic Orleans.

The CODES of Loiret is a partner of the operation and propose a stand of documentation and animations, trade balance around food and tools for Work with the public (youth, adults, elderly, disabled ...)

The French Association of Diabetics of Loiret (AFDL), the Diabolo Association, the Association of support to parents and the entourage of children with diabetes (ASPEED), the Heart and Health Club Olivet Orleans and their associations and institutional partners , Students of the Institute of Para-Medical Training (IFPM) held this Friday, 24 March 2006 at the Hall of the stork in Orleans, a departmental open day for people with diabetes, the general public and health professionals, the medical-social sector, for informational purposes and prevention.

It seemed a success in terms of attendance since more than 300 people came to learn about and participate in conferences and discussion, meet professionals and volunteers on the stands of Associations and Institutions (SFM Defeating mucuviscidose The CODES 45, ASPEED, club and heart health, social service of the Regional Health Insurance Fund Center ...), laboratories around exchange dietary snacks ...
