the National Cancer Institute (INCA) strengthens its mobilization for the prevention of skin cancers and aims to gradually contribute to a more reasonable attitude towards the sun. In this perspective, the INCA has decided to promote a code entitled "Sun: mode d'emploi" embodying the form of icons representing all precautions recommended by experts to effectively protect themselves from the sun.
The sun: mode d'emploi "was launched on June 20 by the Inca and is the subject of a national awareness campaign throughout the summer.
The campaign aims to attract the attention of the general public on the instructions of the sun by presenting a humorous as the solution to end the "Toast attitude"
The booklets will be available INCa CODES in the Loiret in a few days.

The teaching module "Living With the Sun", allows classes to Cycle 3 articulate scientific learning, health education and citizenship education in interdisciplinary work resolutely (science and health but also history, geography, mathematics , Mastery of languages ...) whose purpose is to prevent risks to solar.
During 10 sessions of classes, organized into 4 sequences, children become familiar with the effects of the Sun on our health (positive and negative), identify the ultraviolet (UV) component of sunlight and study changes in UV by time, place, season, the environment ...
Students explore different means of protection (eye and skin), in testing the effectiveness in different situations.
Finally, it ends by producing a poster, a charter, a Thursday, a slogan ... to enable children to become themselves involved in prevention among their families and other children school.
Three optional sessions can deepen certain scientific concepts, as the protective role of the atmosphere and the origin and distribution of different skin colors. [Source: Hands on]

Security Solar launches second edition of the "Living With the Sun"

Abuse of sun are responsible for a major public health problem: the sharp increase in the number of new cases of melanoma and cataract interventions (1). Scientific bodies (2), national and international, are unanimous: It is in childhood that we must act!
In this context, the association Solar Security, in collaboration with hands on and Hatier editions, initiated in 2005 a solar education program at school that is fully within the guidelines of Education national education to health (3). Building on the success with 300 classes "pilot" The Security Solar launches on 15 March 2006 the second edition of the school sports program "Living with the Sun."
3,000 copies of "Teacher's Guide - Living with the Sun" - (collection Gateway, Ed Hatier) are offered free after registration on the site www.vivreaveclesoleil.info, school teachers, educational counselors and the NEI first degree (CE2, CM1, CM2).
The book includes an increase educational turnkey designed to be conducted from April to June. The students, with their teacher, leading a scientific investigation of a dozen meetings during which they study the origins of particular skin color, atmosphere, UV and different defenses ... The sciences start here full service health education but also education for citizenship, especially when, in June, students become involved in prevention.
They are invited to participate in the poster competition prevention and to mobilize around a common goal: to raise awareness and other students throughout the educational community.
As in 2005, many prizes (hats, clothing, sunglasses and protective creams but also books and DVD players) are to win.
