As a teenager, period of life where individual encounter many changes both in terms of biological, social, food is an important first, because it will enable it to meet its growing food needs and secondly, because it is sometimes field assertiveness. Noting that their students sometimes have an unbalanced diet (rich in fats and sugars) and anarchic Loiret colleges have appealed to CODES 45.
To enable the youth to play their health in the field of nutrition, CODES conducted from December 2007 to May 2008, a project on diet and physical activity to 5 Colleges of Loiret.
The objectives were, first to raise awareness of nutrition education of the CESCs members using an educational tool validated, and a second time to strengthen and develop the capacity of adolescents to make choices appropriate to their needs, tastes, habits and lifestyle, encouraging them to take a critical look at the link between their environment, nutrition and physical activity.
The project, which was built around the workbook "Range & Baskets" of the INPES, affected 970 students from 6th to 3rd and mobilized over 50 personnel of Education (headmasters, CPE, nurses, teachers, librarians) creating a dynamic in the institutions concerned.
Each class has benefited from 2 to 3 interventions that took place during their regular course of physical education and sport, Life Sciences and Earth, mathematics, French ...
The particularity of this project lies in the fact that every teacher could choose an individualized for his class by selecting activities among the 45 sheets activities of the tool. Thus subjects as diverse as fair trade, the effects of physical activity on the body or a balanced diet have been addressed through various animation techniques (debates, brainstroming, coat of arms ....).
Based on this experience that made students and teachers reflect on their perceptions and behavior in terms of physical activity and nutrition, CODES renew such a project with institutions volunteers.

Last June, the Relay Assistant Preschool (RAM) in Clery Saint Andre, met the Loiret CODES to establish an intervention on food with his carers.
We agreed that this would take the form of an evening of information and exchanges on the feeding of toddlers. The community of Val d'common Ardoux mobilized to organize and communicate on this evening. All these efforts paid by the presence of 25 people at the intervention of CODES. This took place on 26 September 2007 to recreation center in Jouy-le-Potier.
An audience of carers, relatives and even parents came to learn about and discuss topics as varied and complex: breastfeeding, bottle, food diversification, quantity, timing of meals with transmissions, its friendliness and its inevitable failure.
The public has discussed the practices and tricks to discover the child of the new tastes that are not always hers. After a few questions about the snack at school and managing a refusal of the child to eat, all the congregation was found around local flavors to continue talks on a friendly note.
A first for the CODES which expects to renew this type of action in connection with the goals and recommendations of the National Health Nutrition.

According to an epidemiological survey conducted at the initiative of the Directorate of Judicial Protection of Youth by INSERM in October 1998, issues of food PJJ the youth are many and include nutritional unbalanced behavior (monotonous meals, no breakfast, excessive food and restrictive pipes). They have to do with the difficulties of integration and autonomy (problem of food budget management, lack of culinary skills, etc.). And even food insecurity for some.
Because meals are destructive little varied and that some young people do not use the 50 € / week for them to purchase food, health educators referees involved in the commission of health PJJ Loiret wanted to develop a action concerning youth.
Target:
They are mainly accommodated in individual hosting service (SHI), ages 16 to 20 years living alone. In a few months they will be major, and for PJJ, it is important to lead them towards autonomy.
5 workshops workshops called "make you happy" have been constructed from our educational intentions, the daily observations, experiences similar to existing educational tools (For eating, Fred organized. Follow the guide. CODESS 95 , January 2005)

The objectives of this program of health education:
Learning to balance its food.
Teach young people to eat with a small budget (procurement, ...)
Educate young people about the recommendations to fight against cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity.
Contribute to the strengthening of aptitude to eat, to be pleasure to reinvest their gains and know-how in their daily lives.
History:
These workshops were held from February to May 2007, every 15 days and 18h to 21h, young people were involved and made learning the rules of hygiene in food preparation, management of the budget , Organization of its purchases. They have learned to accommodate the remains and arrange an evening with friends avoiding snacks (crisps, peanuts ...). They experienced the possibility of non-alcoholic cocktails with the feeling of having taste the bitterness of alcohol.
Each meeting has been built in the same way:
Welcome to the taking of a non-sweet snacks to take until lunch time.
A time of discovery and ownership of the various stages of the recipe of the day. The network diabetes dietitian Orleans Loiret (DIABOLO) has during this preparatory phase, an informal exchange with each of the young people of their habits, preferences and enhances their capacity to make and choose.
The time for meals, sharing.
The time of storage and cleaning.
A time of group discussion to explore ideas, talk about the pleasure experienced in preparing, enjoy ...
Partners:
Judicial Protection of Youth Loiret - DIABOLO Association (loan of their local education therapy) and Francine Durox (dietician)
Financial Partners:
Judicial Protection of Youth Loiret - The Health Insurance-DRASS
Evaluation and perspectives:
Every young person is left with the revenue sheets containing the recommendations in the preparation, organization of its purchases, ...
Young people have invested in the period they have missed virtually no meetings in 4 months.
Some have shared their expertise with their peers in their place of accommodation PJJ.
The sessions were extended to the recording to other types of accommodation, welcoming another age. We had to review the goals en route in connection with the dietician and focus more on a balanced diet than on the imminent independence of the young.
The last meeting to invite a relative of the young (family, friends) and to share dinatoire buffet. A good way to recognize competence in the young field of balanced diet.
| CODES and PJJ: partners in health education |
In 2001, the Office for the Judicial Protection of Youth were invited to contact the committees health education to promote the development of actions for health education. In the Loiret, we quickly seized the opportunity to learn to work together. The team of Loiret CODES way since 2002, alongside the nursing department since the establishment of the Health Committee, composed of most professions of the institution PJJ: psychologists, educators, administrative, social .
Together, we train continuously, sometimes with external partners (including those from the field of addiction, mental health, education for health) to accept the approach of a positive health based on principles and values different from the biomedical health.
Together we are trying to transform perceptions of educators to perceive and grasp the idea that interest in the health of young people was perhaps not so needy and that it did not may be an additional investment compared educational mission that the Judicial Protection of Youth has entrusted to them.
Mission accomplished?
In any event, by reinsurance professionals and their involvement in carrying actions among young people that we believe to change practices. These activities are supported financially by the Health Insurance (FNPEIS) and State (appropriations for public health / PRAPS - credits PJJ) to sensitize young people to prevention, access to care.
